Grand Tour of Outpost and Hollywood

This is the Bernheimer Estate, when it was new, around 1914.  It was built by the Bernheimer brothers, New York importers of Japanese merchandise. Today, it's Yamashiro restaurant, just above Outpost Circle, with one of the best views in Los Angeles.  The food is much-improved recently, so if you haven't been there in the past year, you're missing a great meal, a great view, AND a wonderful piece of Hollywood history.  Also, note the Magic Castle in the foreground, to the left.   "Click postcard to see the back."  And take note of the postage required - 1 cent!
