🎉 Holiday Schedule
If one of the following City holidays falls on a weekday, collection shifts by one day for the rest of that week.
For Outpost Estates (Friday pickup), service will move to Saturday during these weeks:
New Year’s Day (Jan 1)
Memorial Day (last Monday in May)
Independence Day (July 4)
Labor Day (first Monday in September)
Thanksgiving Day (fourth Thursday in November)
Christmas Day (Dec 25)
If the holiday lands on a weekend, service usually runs as normal.
💵 LASAN Service Rates
The City of Los Angeles is increasing trash hauling fees through LASAN. The monthly Solid Resources fee for single-family homes and duplexes are increasing from $36.32 to $55.94 beginning in 2025-26 — a 54% hike.
Additional increases are expected over the next few years, with rates projected to reach about $65.93 per month by 2029-30.
The City says the increase is necessary to cover rising costs (fuel, equipment, labor), reduce reliance on subsidies, and bring the service into financial sustainability.
For a typical household in Outpost Estates, that means an extra $19.62/month, or about $235/year in additional cost just for your regular trash, recycling, and organics service. If you currently pay for extra trash bins or upgraded (“extra capacity”) containers, those costs could increase proportionally under the new rate schedule.
