Macapa Drive Entrance Beautification — 2026 Update
The "Macapa Drive" wall at the corner of Mulholland Drive and Macapa Drive is one of the welcoming entrances into the Outpost Estates neighborhood — and like any landscaped feature on our hillside, it requires regular care to keep it looking its best.
Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) first refreshed this entrance area in May 2025 by removing weeds, cleaning around the succulents, and tidying up the planting beds. In May 2026, after several Macapa Drive neighbors asked for the area to be refreshed again, ONA returned to give the entrance another round of tender loving care.
This work was funded by ONA donor contributions and completed by ONA's neighborhood gardener that maintains the Outpost Drive landscaped traffic islands.
🌿 What the 2026 Cleanup Included
Weed removal in front of and around the wall
Trimming and shaping of the established succulents
Clearing dead vegetation and accumulated debris
Refreshing the dirt areas and removing fallen brush from the hillside above
Tidying up around the Outpost Estates entrance sign
The result is a noticeably cleaner, more welcoming entrance for everyone arriving to Outpost Estates from Mulholland Drive.

🙏 Thank You to the Neighbors Who Spoke Up
This project happened because Macapa Drive neighbors asked for it. That is exactly how neighborhood beautification should work. When residents identify an area that needs attention and let ONA know, the Board can often coordinate the work quickly through our neighborhood gardener and donor-funded budget.
If you have an area of Outpost Estates — a wall, a parklet, a public right-of-way, an entrance, or another shared space — that you think needs attention, please reach out to ONA. We want to hear from you.
🌳 Get Involved in Beautification
Our hillside setting is filled with marvelous flora and fauna. With diligent and prudent care, we can continue to beautify Outpost Estates. Helping manage the landscaped traffic islands, tree planting, signage, and neighborhood cleanups is a great way to get involved.
Consider volunteering some of your time with other neighbors on beautification projects around the neighborhood. Click here to learn more about how to get involved and how to contact ONA with your ideas for future beautification projects.
