LA County Parks Foundation Award $25,000 Grant for Two New Landscaped Traffic Islands on Outpost Drive

Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) is thrilled to announce that it has received a $25,000 grant from the second annual ‘Hollywood Bowl Community Grant Program'‘ thanks to the Los Angeles County Parks Foundation (LACPF) which was funded this year by both Live Nation Hewitt Silva and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association. This generous grant will directly support ONA’s “Outpost Estates Traffic Landscaped Island Project” to improve traffic safety in the neighborhood by installing two new landscaped traffic islands on Outpost Drive.

In 2024, Live Nation Hewitt Silva donated $100,000 to LACPF to establish the grant program, which supports programs, services, and neighborhood projects enhancing the quality of life for communities near the Hollywood Bowl, a Los Angeles County park managed by the LA Phil and LA County Department of Parks and Recreation. In 2025, the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association joined Live Nation Hewitt Silva to contribute fund the grant program for the surrounding communities near the Hollywood Bowl.

ONA extends its deepest thanks to LACPF, Live Nation-Hewitt Silva, and Los Angeles Philharmonic Association for their partnership and commitment to the community.

Outpost Estates is so fortunate to have the Hollywood Bowl as our ‘neighbor’. It’s amazing to be able to walk from our homes to the Hollywood Bowl to enjoy concerts and the beautiful venue. We are thrilled that Live Nation Hewitt Silva and the Los Angeles Philharmonic Association has made a generous donation to the LA County Parks Foundation to award neighborhood improvement grants to the neighborhoods surrounding the Hollywood Bowl, like Outpost Estates. The Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) has applied to use the 2025 grant money to install two new traffic islands on Outpost Drive to help beautify the neighborhood and calm traffic on our main neighborhood street. We are glad the Hollywood Bowl is stepping in to help collaborate together with our neighbors. And are thankful that they are serving as a great partner in jointly solving issues that our community faces with the increase of Bowl Events.

How You Can Help

Outpost Neighborhood Association (ONA) is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization and is an entirely volunteer-led organization, so 100% of donations support neighborhood initiatives and our minimal organizational overhead, maximizing the positive impact on our community.

ONA is raising funds through donations to cover the approximately $190,000 in costs to build the three landscaped traffic islands (about $64,000 per traffic island). 100% of your donation to the ‘Outpost Estates Traffic Islands Project’ will go to cover the cost of constructing these landscaped traffic islands (see the outline of the budget for the project below). Your contribution will go directly towards making our neighborhood a safer, more pleasant place to live and every dollar brings us closer to a safer Outpost Estates.

Together, we can ensure that our streets remain a safe, vibrant, and enjoyable part of our community. Your support is crucial. Please join us in this important effort by donating today.

Thank you for your support!
